1lb ground bison
- 6 small buns, buttered- Brioche or any other soft bun
- 6 tomato slices
- Pickles or sliced pickles
- Lettuce leaves

½ red onion thinly sliced
- Mustard
- Mayo
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder

Directions
Take out your defrosted meat at least 30 min before you plan to cook to allow it to come to room temperature.
Divide into 6 equal portions. Roll into balls then flatten slightly and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder
- Slice buns in half and butter generously set aside
- Slice onion into thin slices
- Slice tomato into nice thick slices
- Slice pickles into long slices
How to cook bison burger:
- Heat cast iron or other heavy bottom pan to med-high heat, and melt a small amount of butter, (or bacon fat if you keep a jar of it around like I do).
Place the patties seasoned side down in the pan and using a spatula squash them a little to ensure good contact with the pan.
- Once you flip the burgers, heat a second pan to medium heat and place your buns butter side down, cook until golden brown and crispy at the edges.

- Assemble your sliders. Spread both sides of the bun with mayo, top with a tomato slice, lettuce, the slider patty, mustard, onions, pickles and then the top bun.
