Main Ingredients
Homemade Elk Burger Seasoning
Directions
Sauté your onions and mushrooms. Once they’re done, make two half-pound patties with your ground elk. Next, take an aluminum can (beer can or soda can) and place it in the middle of each patty. Press the can into the meat, then gently twist the can and remove it from the burger. This will create a hole to add your filling.
Next, season your patties. Use the following ingredients:
· Worcestershire sauce
· Your homemade elk seasoning
Once your patties are seasoned, fill the middle with your sauteed onions and mushrooms, and blue cheese crumbles. Wrap each of the patties with two slices of bacon and secure it with toothpicks.
Preheat a skillet over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of butter. Once the skillet is heated, add your hamburger patties and cover. Cook the burgers for approximately 20 minutes for a medium cook. Once they’re almost done, top the patties with a slice of pepper jack cheese.
Serve and enjoy!
