Pan Seared Buffalo NY Strip Steak

2 Buffalo New York Strip steaks
- Coarse sea salt
- Homemade seasoning (ingredients listed below)
- 1 stick of butter
- 2 garlic cloves
- A few springs of fresh marjoram
- A few springs of fresh sage
- A few sprigs of fresh thyme
- An oven safe pan
- Coarse salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Chipotle seasoning
- Smoked paprika
- Ground ginger
Homemade seasoning ingredients:
Start by warming up your pan over medium-high heat. You're going to want a good sear on your steaks. Once your pan is hot, add the steaks to the pan and sear both sides.
After searing both sides for about a minute, add in the butter, garlic and herbs. Baste the steaks while they cook for another 5 min. These steaks don't take long to cook, so cook for only 7-9 minutes total depending on how you like your steak.
Rest for 5 minutes before serving
