Elk Bratwurst
Handmade in Jackson Hole, in the spirit of the traditional German Bratwurst, this elk sausage is best boiled or braised in beer, butter and onions, and finished over a hot grill or sauté pan, with crusty bread and spicy mustard!
These brats work best when you pop them straight from the fridge onto a grill.
The cooking temp is relatively low, so you don’t have to worry about constantly flipping.
Turn these beauties at about the 12-minute mark. Dinner is done in 24 minutes.
This grilling method works with any of our game sausages.
Elk is naturally low in fat, so you can indulge in that bratwurst taste (normally high in fats) while feeling good.
The delicate, earthy and slightly sweet flavor of elk pairs perfectly with the mild seasoning of bratwurst.
We like it served simply, on a bun with sauerkraut, mustard, caramelized onions or wild boar bacon.
Try these brats with a side of mustard greens or spring potato salad.
Each 1 lb bag contains 3 sausages. Order in quantities of 3, 4 and 5 pounds.

The brats were excellent! Boiled them in beer & then put them on the grill to finish them, very easy.
